GDD BootCamp bei SAE 2010

GTUG BootCamp

Anmerkung 2023 – besser 13 Jahre zu spät als nie, ein kleines Review zum 2010er GTUG (jetzt GDG) BootCamp an der SAE

Im sorry. If you cannot stand OMG, Awesome, Amazing and other adjectives you should probably should stop reading this post. This will be a hell lot of OMG. And WTF. And SRSLY. Maybe only a little SRSLY.

So let’s begin at where it all began, on Sunday morning. After waking up, dressing the kids and preparing the breakfasttable, i left Home to go to Perlach, where the SAE Institute is and where our (German GTUGs) BootCamp should take place. When i arrived at Perlach, i met a few Nerds that clearly shared my target :) So we had some nice chatter and when we arrived at the Venue is was simply wowed. Wowed by the SAE Crew that, not only allready prepared the Registration desk, filled up the Coffeemachine, the refrigerator, the tables with the cups and hooked up some microphones, no they also told me that some of them allready where at the Institute at around 7am. Thank you SAE, especially Christoph Rieger, who made it all possible. Thank you so much.

So we started to register the attendees, layed out the all famous BootCampshirts, created by shirtfriends.com and designed by Aygul and prepared the breakfast with the MyMüsli and coffee and all the other goodies i ordered at Froodies.de. I introduced everyone to everyone and told them that we would start around 10 am with the Keynote. At around 10 allready around 50% where registered and there but still the Stuttgart GTUG was missing, which was not so good, because Stephan planned the Projectpitches and i had no clue what to talk about after my WelcomeNote. Short timeslip: 10:15 am, official Start, Stephan and the crew came trough the door and my mind goes back to normal :)

So we made our Keynote and project pitching and, for myself, i think we did quite well.

Everyone began to hack and i was running around busy as usual, trying to maintain a hacking-StatusQuo. The caterer came, the food arrived, everyone got more than plenty enough too eat and then the BlinkendroidCrew arrived from Berlin. Yeah!

The guys setup their Testmatrix at two BeerTables (Bierbänke) at the Keynoteroom and then grabbed some food.

At around 8 pm we had our all famous „Show&Tell“ where everyone should present their projects. Some of these proejcts are so cool and others made me laugh so hard. Not laughing about but because i liked them so much. I gave out some swag and then left with some of the Attendees to the Partylocation.
